Regional Government grants support to five Madeiran sports clubs
The Regional Government Council has authorized, through five separate resolutions, the signing of sports development program contracts (CPDD) with the aim of supporting federated activity, event organization, and the maintenance of sports infrastructure during the 2025/2026 season. The grants, totaling €94,033.45, aim to promote sports practice and the development of various disciplines in the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
Beneficiary clubs and respective support:
- Prestige Dance - Clube de Dança Desportiva (Resolution no. 398/2026): Support of €25,044.61 for participation in regional championships and event organization.
- PSRC - Porto Santo Racket Club (Resolution no. 399/2026): Support of €13,209.13 for the organization of sports events.
- PXO Golfe Clube (Resolution no. 400/2026): Support of €6,584.31 for the promotion of disciplines without associative framework, participation in competitions, and support for high-potential athletes.
- Roberto Costa Ténis Clube (Resolution no. 401/2026): Support of €23,737.75 for participation in regional championships or competitions.
- SCPS - Sporting Clube do Porto Santo (Resolution no. 402/2026): Support of €25,457.65 for participation in competitions, event organization, and maintenance of sports infrastructure.
The contracts, approved by the Regional Secretariat for Education, Science and Technology, are effective from the date of signing until December 31, 2026, and are managed by the Regional Directorate of Sports.
