Regional Government grants support to six Madeiran sports clubs
The Regional Government Council has authorized, through several resolutions published in the Official Journal of the Autonomous Region of Madeira (JORAM), the signing of sports development program contracts (CPDD) with six regional organizations. This support aims to promote federated sports practice, support infrastructure maintenance, and organize sporting events during the 2025/2026 season.
The beneficiary entities and their respective financial support are as follows:
- Marítimo da Madeira Andebol, SAD (Resolution no. 387/2026): €5,943.43 for support to high-performance coaches and regional competition.
- Grupo Recreativo Cruzado Canicense (Resolution no. 388/2026): €29,334.11 for participation in regional competitions and infrastructure maintenance.
- Grupo Desportivo Corticeiras (Resolution no. 389/2026): €10,117.38 for participation in regional championships.
- Grupo Desportivo do Estreito (Resolution no. 390/2026): €77,274.87 for participation in regional competitions and event organization.
- H.C.M. Hóquei Clube da Madeira (Resolution no. 391/2026): €12,112.89 for participation in regional competitions and event organization.
- Iate Clube de Santa Cruz (Madeira) (Resolution no. 392/2026): €11,114.65 for participation in regional championships.
The contracts, approved by the Regional Secretariat for Education, Science and Technology, are effective until December 31, 2026, reinforcing the Madeiran executive's commitment to sports associations and the promotion of physical activity in the region.
