The Regional Government Council has approved five sports development program contracts (CPDD) aimed at subsidizing travel and daily allowance costs for sports agents. These grants seek to mitigate costs caused by insularity and ensure the participation of athletes, coaches, and officials in regional and national competitions.

The contracts, valid for the 2025/2026 sports season, are financed by the Regional Directorate of Sports and aim to ensure the continuity of Madeiran representation in national and regional events.
