Regional Government appoints representative to Maritime Authority System
The Regional Government Council of Madeira, meeting in plenary on May 21, 2026, formalized the appointment of José Manuel de Sousa Rodrigues, current Regional Secretary of Economy, as the representative of the Regional Government to the National Coordinating Council of the Maritime Authority System (CCN).
This appointment, made official through Regional Government Council Resolution no. 530/2026, arises within the scope of the CCN Internal Regulations, approved by Ordinance no. 15/2025/1, which provides for the participation of a representative from each Autonomous Region in the national coordination structure of the entities that make up the Maritime Authority System.
The fundamental competence of the CCN is the approval and issuance of guidelines that ensure effective articulation between the various bodies executing maritime authority power in Portugal.
