The Regional Government Council has authorized, through Resolution no. 253/2026, the expropriation of five plots of land essential for the execution of the project "Construction of the Machico/Canical Expressway - Machico North Junction and section between the Portais Tunnel and the Canical Roundabout".
The lands, identified in the project's plot plan, are as follows:
The total compensation amount to be paid to the owners, Manuel Viveiros da Costa Miranda and Maria Nunes Calaça Miranda, amounts to 92,111.07 euros. The Regional Secretary of Finance has been mandated to sign the amicable expropriation deed, with the expenditure duly budgeted in the regional budget, under Organic Classification 47 9 50 02 07 and Project 50153.
The Regional Government has authorized the amendment of the program contract with IHM for the expansion of the housing stock, with a total investment of 125.25 million euros.
IHM - Investimentos Habitacionais da Madeira has extended the deadline for submitting proposals for land allocation in Imaculado Coracao de Maria.
The Regional Secretariat for Equipment and Infrastructure has authorized the creation of a 300 euro petty cash fund for the Regional Civil Engineering Laboratory.
