Regional Government redistributes maintenance costs for the Via Rapida
Through Ordinance no. 205/2026, published in the 6th Supplement of the Official Journal of the Autonomous Region of Madeira (JORAM), the Regional Government has formalized the amendment and redistribution of budgetary burdens regarding the procedure for the Acquisition of Operation and Maintenance Services for the Via Rapida between Ribeira Brava and Machico Sul of the Regional Road Network.
The total value of the procedure remains at €46,950,000.00, with the financial scheduling adjusted for the coming fiscal years as follows:
- 2026: €3,912,500.00
- 2027: €9,390,000.00
- 2028: €9,390,000.00
- 2029: €9,390,000.00
- 2030: €9,390,000.00
- 2031: €5,477,500.00
The ordinance also establishes that the amount set for each year may be increased by the balance determined in the previous year. VAT at the current legal rate is added to the mentioned values. The expenditure for the year 2026 is covered by the budget under the Secretariat 50, Chapter 50, Division 03, Subdivision 01, Project 50730, Funding Sources 311 and 381, Economic Classification Code 02.02.20.DS.Z0. The funds for subsequent years will be registered in the respective annual budgets.
